Drivers License (hours 8:30-4:00).
The annual tax sale was held on June 20th. We sold approximately 200 parcels. If you are a deed or contract holder in one of those parcels, you should have received a notice advising you that it was sold and the amount necessary to redeem the parcel.
Elderly/Disabled tax credit forms for the upcoming tax year should have been turned into our office by now. When the tax statements are sent out in mid to late August, the amount of credit you received will be listed on the statement.
Second half truck fees are due by July 31st. You may raise the tonnage on your truck for the second half but you may not lower it. Also, you may not store the vehicle for the second half of the year.
Drivers License has been busy since school got out. We’ve had several students testing for permits. A few Drivers Ed classes have ended and the students are upgrading to either school licenses or their intermediate licenses. If you have a student needing to test, please be sure they have a certified state or county issued birth certificate, social security card and a parent to sign the parental consent form with them. If the student is upgrading, they need the parent to sign the consent form and the Drivers Ed completion certificate. If applying for a school license, they will also need the school to fill out that form for them.
